“Gossip Girl” will get people talking. At least, that seems likely as the CW network brings to a boil its new campaign for the sexy prep-school soap. The show’s second season begins Sept. 1, following an August promotion to put viewers, um, in the mood. And here’s a twist: The racy ads co-opt language from the very criticism of the show for being too, well, racy.

Matthew also talked about finding out the sex of their baby in the delivery room, "I said, 'Come here, little man. I saw the pecker and screamed that we'd been right all along about him being a boy. Then I brought him over to her [Camila]. It was neat to find out what the sex was because we didn't have the doctor tell us beforehand. I've pulled out some baby pictures of myself, and the resemblance is amazing. This kid has a lot to learn from us. I want him to come out being a little wiser, a little cooler and a little happier than we are."

After successfully completing four weeks of treatment for anxiety and depression, Heather Locklear is back home. "Heather's feeling really great," says a close friend. "And she looks beautiful, just radiant." While the actress's recovery is "a work in progress," Locklear seems rejuvenated by her month away, says the friend. "She told a really funny story and she laughed from her core," says the pal, who has seen Locklear since she returned home last weekend. "That's when I knew she was going to be fine. I think that's the best part of all – it's so nice to hear her laugh." During her time at the Arizona facility, Locklear, 46, remained under doctors' care while getting therapeutic spa treatments, riding horses and spending quality time alone. Her spirits were lifted by two visits from boyfriend Jack Wagner.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are reportedly set to have a Halloween baby. The couple – who are expecting their first child together later this year – were said to be thrilled when they found out they were expecting a daughter due on October 31. A source told America’s Star magazine: “Ashlee and Pete are on cloud nine. The doctor told them they actually conceived the baby just before Valentine’s Day (02/14/08) while they were on vacation and has given them an initial due date of October 31.” Fall Out Boy rocker Pete – who loves the spooky holiday - is reportedly especially pleased he will welcome his new baby into the world on the scary day. The source added: “When Pete heard he might have his baby on Halloween, he went nuts. For a rocker type like Pete, that would be just too perfect!”

Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell, who celebrated their first wedding anniversary July 14, are not expecting a baby – yet! "We're trying to get pregnant," the actor told PEOPLE Saturday at the Playboy Mansion, where he stepped out for Much Love Animal Rescue's 2nd annual Bow Wow Wow event in Los Angeles. "It would be amazing if it happened. I hope it does." O'Connell, who says trying to get pregnant is "a lot of fun," brought along the couple's dogs Taco and Better who he called "our babies." "It's just such a great feeling you get when you rescue an animal," he said. "They’re eternally grateful and they really trust you and they're just the best.” Besides, he said, "Pets are training for kids." Though the couple spent their first wedding anniversary apart – she was in New York and he was in L.A. – O'Connell says their time apart may actually help their relationship. "Being apart, you want to make the most of your time together," he says. "And we really have a lot of fun together."

Who's responsible for Eva Longoria's short new do? Husband Tony Parker! "Tony cut my hair!" the actress, 33, tells Entertainment Tonight. "I had to cut my hair for the show because Gabrielle has short hair," she says. "I wore a wig in the last episode, but I didn't want to wear a wig this whole season, so I was like, 'I'm going to cut it!'" She says her hairstylist Ken Paves forced Parker to make the first move. "He said, 'Tony, you're going to do the first cut, so she can't be mad at me,'" she says. "Tony did the first snip. He did more and then he did more and then Kenny cleaned it up." She also revealed how she is packing on the pounds the next season of Desperate Housewives. To make Gabrielle look like she has two kids, Longoria says she now eats "everything in sight! Pasta ... pizza.” "Tony and I went crazy this summer!" says Longoria, who also stopped working out. Her other secret for looking heavier? "I have butt pads, I have thigh pads, I have stomach pads!"
